Polly woke me up having a fit at 3am this morning. The fit only lasted around 10 seconds however, she released her bladder and wet her bed. We were unable to cradle her like we would usually do as she was soaked in urine. We cleaned her with wet wipes and she recovered very quickly.
My Dushka has a ceasure like 2 or 3 times a year... I suspected very early they were due to too much excitement when she was playing as a young kitten... I felt very guilty for playing so intens with her then... Now I do everything I can to keep her as quiet as possible even if sometimes she gets bored... :'( I give her Fenoleptil which is actually Fenobarbital too. 1/4 of a tablet every day... I crush it into pulver because impossible to force her to swallow it any other way...

I would hold and cradle my Kadi every single time she would have a seizure. She thrashed and crashed against furniture and I could not stand the thought of her hurting herself. I didn't care if she wet on me, pooped on me, or slobbered all over me. I wanted her to know that I was there for her, holding her, loving her, and keeping her from hurting herself. Very rarely did I get scratched and never bitten. This went on for about 3 or 4 years. I could not find a regular vet who would fix her because of the seizures and the fact she took phenobarbital. I finally found one who was willing to do it without charging me an arm and a leg. When I got her spayed, she became a totally different cat. Previously, a male cat in the house would chase her and terrorized her. Now that she is spayed, he is no longer interested in chasing her, he now chases the other spayed cat in the house. Kadi will frequently jump in between and get up in his face, bump him in the nose and he will run off. Lol, I keep saying when she got spayed, she grew a set of balls. Oh, and no more seizures.
