Polly had a fit last night. It didn't last long and she recovered quickly but it is disheartening as we were doing so well. We have been fit free for about 3 weeks. I know the vets mentioned that when you increase the dose of Phenobarbital it can take a while for the levels to settle. Hopefully this was just a little blip!
Polly had a recent bout of cluster fits around 4 weeks ago, lasting about a week.
One fit even resulted in a 6ft fall from the wardrobe, hence my top tip of high places being a "no go zone". She had to have her medication upped by 7mg a day and this seems to be working well as we have been fit free for around 3 weeks :) She is due to go back to the vets soon to have her Phenobarbital levels checked. Having an epi cat sure testing your dedication to our pets ;) They are lucky they have owners like us! A very interesting clip about using alternative therapy for seizures.........worth a try right? Polly woke me up having a fit at 3am this morning. The fit only lasted around 10 seconds however, she released her bladder and wet her bed. We were unable to cradle her like we would usually do as she was soaked in urine. We cleaned her with wet wipes and she recovered very quickly.
