The best piece of advice I can give you is feline primary epilepsy can not be cured only managed. Remember that they will always have seizures just like a human with the condition would.
The aim is to reduce the amount of seizures your cat is having and the duration of the fits.

Coping Tips
- High places are no go zones. I found out the hard way and Polly fell 6ft of a cupboard during a fit. We now make any high places no go zones for all cats.
- If your cat is taking phenobarbital its advised it works best when taken at the same time of day, 12 hours apart. I have an alarm on my phone for 9am and 9pm.
- Don't make pill time a big deal. We can give Polly her pill while she is sleeping and she will then go straight back to sleep after.
- Try not to worry about another fit happening. I have spent many sleepless nights worrying only for Polly to be completely fine. Its hard but you can not control it, so try not to worry.
