Polly had a fit last night. It didn't last long and she recovered quickly but it is disheartening as we were doing so well. We have been fit free for about 3 weeks. I know the vets mentioned that when you increase the dose of Phenobarbital it can take a while for the levels to settle. Hopefully this was just a little blip!
Dear Polly thanking your parents to have create this informative website.
My cat Pumpkin starts to seizure last Thursday and since then it has been such a terrible experience. She came back yesterday from the clinic and she is simply another cat. She is under Phenobarbital 5mg x2 a day and she is aggressive, clumpsy, scared, stressed. It has been so hard since she was so sweet and now I'm simply scared of her every time she hisses and growl at me. I wish I could do more she hasn't had a seizure since saturday. Thank you again for creating this website and all the best to you Polly, you seem to be in very good hands.

That does not sound right. My cat has been on 16 mg x2 day for 3 years now and he acts like his own self, still loving, affectionate (sleep under my arm with his head against my face). the only thing i notice, he is clumpsy, misses the table from time to time and can be a brat and attack my other cat-he is more aggressive towards her but he has always been jealous if i give my female cat any attention but he has gotten worse with that. when i see him jump my poor missygirl i scold him but otherwise he is fine. I would check with the vet on what u r saying. Your cat should not become so aggresive to you. my cat takes the pill easy peasy, no hassles and most of the time he does not stop purring when i give it to him.

so sorry to hear that. My cat has been on the meds for three years now and I have not seen one seizure at all unless it is happening while I am working. He, Mittens, sleeps with me right under my armpit and his head resting under my chin and if he were to have a seizure it does wake me up. I feel so lucky so far. I will pray for your cat
